Day 6 - No Testimony Yet on Fatal Stabbing of Matthew Owen
"At some point murder, violent acts of brutality and domestic violence have to become much less frequent in the Kipps Lane Area. "Without safety how can you have a real community?" Councillors Joe Swan and Stephen Orser have to be much more involved in this community. " "There have been more murders on or near Kipps Lane since the Matthew Owen murder. "
Despite 6 days of gruesome testimony from witnesses who were at the scene of the fights and the murder of Matthew Owen on February Owen on February 14, 2011, no testimony has been given which identifies the killer.
Testimony thus far clearly describes how the tragic incident began and escalated but the vital question as to who stabbed Matthew Owen fatally has not been clarified.

There are as many definitions of a "gang" as there are gangs themselves. It's very hard to nail down an exact definition of what a gang is, what is does, what makes gang members similar and what makes them different. I will provide one definition below from the State of California.
The key question to ask yourself is whether the gangs talked about in London have similarities or differences to the one presented by the California Department of Justice 1993.
"Gangs have been defined as “ any ongoing organization, association, or group of three or more persons, whether formal or informal, having as one of its primary activities the commission of one or more of the following criminal acts
[1) assault with a deadly weapon, 2) robbery, 3) homicide or manslaughter, 4) the sale, possession for sale, transportation, manufacture, offer for sale, or offer to manufacture controlled substances,

Throughout the 3 year long City-led Kipps Lane Initiative that ran from 2007 to 2009, the question as to whether real street gangs exist in the Kipps Lane, Huron Boullee area keep coming up.

A portion from each designated Taxi, Executive Sedan as well as Airbus reservation booked during the month of October, will be directly donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. There is no additional charge to passengers and drivers are not collecting donations.
