On Friday October 31st at 11:53 pm a 30 year old female was walking on Barker Street near Kipps Lane with her 10 year old son when she was approached from behind by a male. This male grabbed her purse and fled northbound on Barker Street. The female was not injured and contacted Police. Police are looking for a white male, 30-35 years old, 200 lbs, 5’10 wearing a blue spring jacket.

Assault Oct. 31st at rear of Bonaventure Meadows Public School

On Friday October 31 2008 at 10:06 pm two 17 year old females were walking at the rear of Bonaventure Meadows Public School located at 141 Bonaventure Drive when they passed by a large group of youths.

One of the youths approached the two females demanded property from them. The male suspect proceeded to grab one of the females and assault her. The female was able to break free and flee. The suspect did not obtain any property from the victims.

London Police is currently investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred on Friday October 31st shortly before 6 pm. A 79 year old female was struck by a motor vehicle when she was crossing Glenora Drive at Mclean Drive.  The pedestrian was taken to hospital where she died as a result of her injuries.  London Police are asking for the public’s assistance if anyone witnessed the collision to contact Police at 519-661-5670. Darkness was not a factor in the collision.

Theft from Vehicles 

Theft from vehicles is a crime of opportunity and prime locations are parks, arenas, athletic facilities, and restaurants.  You must always plan ahead to avoid becoming a victim; 

 ·         Always secure items out of sight prior to arriving at your destination

 ·         Never leave your wallet or purse in the glove box or trunk as this a prime target for criminals involved in Frauds

 ·         Watch for suspicious persons when you arrive at the mentioned locations.
