Clooney plays an aging star in what passed for a football league in the 1920's. It was a small league of teams in the American Mid-West. Trick plays and all kinds of stunts were fair game in this brand of football. Rules were scarce and unfortunately for the team sponsors so were the fans. The league folded and all the players had to find regular jobs.
In comes John Krasinski (The Office) as a returning World War 1 War Hero. Clooney sees him as the guy young athletic hero who can bring respectability to the game of football and put him and the others back to work. Unfortunately, Krasinski's war exploits were quite overblown and Zellweger as a reporter was on his trail to expose him.
Kids, Teens Spend Their Weekends Selling Chocolate Bars With Little to No Supervison In one of Ontario's Richest Cities.
This article has been coming for a long time, partially out of concern, partially out of guilt. I've lived and shopped in the same place for nearly nine years. For the last three or years pan handling and the proliferation of young pre-teen or teenage chocolate bar sellers have increased at the the shopping plaza at 1080 Adelaide N.
These pint-size chocolate bar sellers are common throughout London and most major cities. You have to ask what charities would send children out in all kinds of weather with limited supervision to fundraise for them?
From the Editor
It's the kids that get to me
They get younger and younger. They spend 8 or 10 hours in front of the stores trying to sell chocolate bars for charities I've never heard of. I wonder who dropped them off there? Who supplied them with the chocolates. How much do they actually earn for a full days work?
The Kitchener Record article below points to "chocolate bar distributors" which charities hire. They hire the kids, apparently with parental approval. Charities get some of the profits, the distributor gets some, but what do the children get and should the children be part of this venture in one of the world's most advanced economies and strict child protection laws?
After a long on-line search I found a hair raising tale of parents who let their kids sell chocolate bars with a guy who picked them up in a van at their house. He advertised by putting up notices on telephone poles. Whatever happened to all of those government funded employment help centres? Red Flag Number One.

Cell phone “dropped” call With the anticipation that the Provincial Government is set to announce a new law concerning cell phone use while driving, London Police Service want all motorists, regardless of the new law, to focus their attention on driving and reduce and limit all driver distractions.
Safe driving is a physical and mental task. With the volume and pace of traffic on our roads any lapse in mental focus can result in a serious collision.
Two recent London collisions are examples of this: On August 21st of this year an elderly female driver suffered serious injuries when her stopped vehicle was rear ended by a second motorist. This other motorist admitted to police that he was answering his phone when he dropped it and tried to reach for it.
The London Police Cyber Crime Unit has arrested and charged a 13 year old London male with several computer hacking offences after an incident was reported at Mother Teresa High School on October 20th, 2008. A search of his residence was later conducted and the investigation is continuing

I will give you my reasons for choosing this movie but I encourage you to offer your own. Most people love watching movies and today thanks to technology there are no shortage of films available to buy, borrow, rent or view.
I watched Dead Poets Society two months before beginning my career as a French teacher. I immediately identified with the eager and unorthodox English teacher portrayed by Robin Williams. He taught in an elite boys only prep school set in the early sixties.
The students sent to this school were expected to reach the Ivy Leagues and no lower or they were counted as failures. Williams believed in using creative methods to teach his lessons. In fact, his first lesson was to have each student rip every page out of the ancient and rigid English textbook and throw them away.
At approximately 8pm, Friday October 24th a male youth was approached by two females in the area of Dundas Street at Richmond Street.
One of the females demanded money, drugs or cigarettes. When the male victim didn’t provide them with any of their demands, one of the females struck the victim with a metallic object on the left side of his face.
A male suspect then approached the victim from behind and punched him in the nose. The 3 suspects fled with the victim’s wallet and some cash.
