Just in time for the long weekend, kids can have fun and stay cool at City of London spray pads. Today, seven of the City's outdoor spray pads will officially open for the season. "The spray pads are a safe way for children to keep cool and play outside on warm days," says Lynn Loubert, Manager of Aquatic Services. "The spray pads are activated by a push of a button and the water rotates between the different water play features."
Spray pads at the following locations are now open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.:
Rowntree Park - on Whetter Avenue off Wellington Road=20
Fork of the Thames - off Riverside Drive and King Street=20 West Lions Park - on Granville Avenue beside Kinsmen Recreation Centre=20 Jesse Davidson Park - off Monte Vista Crescent or Ensign Crescent=20 Gibbons Spray Pad - in Gibbons Park Southeast Optimist Park - on Deveron Crescent=20 Storybook Gardens - Slippery's Water Play area located in the park
