Spring on the Farm at Fanshawe Pioneer Village BIG on HISTORY! BIG on FUN!
On Saturday, May 30th and Sunday, May 31st come out to Fanshawe Pioneer Village for our annual Spring on the Farm event.
See demonstrations of sheep shearing in preparation for the hot summer months ahead. Glen Erran Kennels will be on site to demonstrate sheep herding and possibly duck herding by their talented dogs. Come out and see draft horses from the Southern Ontario Draft Horse Association in the back fields as they work the crops and cut hay.
Rockin Oldies will serenade you on Sunday afternoon at Fanshawe Pioneer Village Café.
Fanshawe Pioneer Village is open Tuesday to Sunday and Holiday Mondays from 10:00a.m. – 4:30p.m. from May 16th to October 12th, 2009. We’re BIG on HISTORY, but LITTLE on COST! Only $5 for your journey back in time!

Dominion Day - Wednesday, July 1 On the 1st of July, 1867, Canada became a self-governing colony within the British Empire. We offer you the chance to relive the past and discover the events surrounding the first Dominion Day (now Canada Day). Historical debates, patriotic speeches, cookies and lemonade and vintage baseball are a few of the activities that will bring the past to life. Come out and watch a vintage Base Ball Game between the London Tecumsehs and Thames Centre Oldtimers at 1:00 pm.
