Monday, 25 February 2008

Construction agreements and a by-law are closer to being finalized today after they were presented to the Community and Protective Services Committee (CPSC). The next step is for the Construction contract and the by-law to go to the full Council next Monday. Then the final work can begin at Northbrae Public School on the Best Start Child Care and Child Development Hub. Projected Completion date for construction is Fall 2008 according to the February 25, 2008 agenda.

The project is a joint venture between the Province of Ontario (Ministry of Education), City of London, and the Thames Valley District School Board. (TDVSB). The YMCA will operate the Best Years Centre under Contract with the City of London.

Completion date for construction is Fall 2008 according to the February 25, 2008 agenda. The Best Start Project is fully funded Provincial dollars and requires no financial investment for this project at Northbrae Public School.

If you have any questions about this Project call the City of London at 519 661-2500 and ask for Child and Youth Care Services or you can ask for Lynn Livingstone or Ross Fair directly.
