Rookie League Shows Growth this year. There is more Fun as London Majors, Labatts Park join Joe Kools, London Police Services, Stock Transportation and London Middlesex Transportation in this Traditional Summer Program which teaches kids about baseball, cooperation and gives them a fun place to spend part of their summer each year.

It must be a wonderful feeling for the Rookie Leaguers and all involved to see the kids playing in historic Labatts Park and learning the game alongside the London Major players.

This is an exceptional program for kids. All involved should take a bow.

LPS Media Release

The 2009 Rookie League baseball program will be having its final championship on Wednesday August 12th at Labatt Park.  The games will start at approximately 10:00 am followed by the awards ceremonies at 1130 am.

The participants all come from London Housing complex areas and this league affords them the opportunity to learn and
play the great game of baseball.  Every year, the staff at Joe Kools work to raise money and actively partner with the London Police Service and London Middlesex Housing Corporation to run this worthwhile program.

The London Majors baseball club is also a partner, running training camps and assisting with skills development.  Stock Transportation has, once again, picked up the players from their areas and driven them to and from the games at no cost to the league or players.

Actually, the entire league is no cost to the players or their families, which makes this much more accessible for everyone.  Please come out and meet these wonderful young people and help celebrate their sportsmanship, competitiveness and enthusiasm for baseball.
