On Tuesday August 25 2009 at 9 pm two unknown males forced their way into a residence on Maitland Street. One suspect brandished a handgun while the other brandished a sword.
The 68 year old male resident was pushed onto a couch and punched. A 29 year old female was threatened with the handgun. The suspect with the sword proceeded towards the 68 year old male victim.
The victim was able to flee the residence and Police were contacted. A 53 year old male at the residence told the males that Police were called and the suspects fled. A quantity of property was stolen.
The occupants of the residence were not injured. Police are looking for two suspects described as two black males, approximately 25 years old, wearing white hoodies. One of the males is described as being 6’ and the other was 5’8.
