Update;After further investigation by Detectives from the Arson Unit, Farukh Hussain, 35 years of London was arrested and charged with Arson in relation to the fire at 774 Monsarratt Avenue that occurred on September 14 2009.
Previous Release;
On Monday September 14 2009 at 11:45 am Police were called to 774 Monsarrat Avenue regarding a fire to a residence. Fire Department extinguished the fire.
No one was inside of the residence at the time. Damage is estimated at $100,000. The fire is being treated as suspicious. Police continue to hold the scene until the Ontario Fire Marshall attends today. The investigation is continuing.
