On Sunday September 27 2009 at 3 am a 21 years old male and a 26 year old male were walking on Central Avenue near Maitland Street when they were approached by two unknown males.
The two unknown males proceeded to verbally abuse the two males about their sexual orientation. One of the males began to punch the 26 year old male in the face, causing him to stumble and fall to the ground.
While on the ground the male continued to punch and kick the victim. The 21 year old male was also hit in the head. The suspects fled southbound on Maitland Street.
An officer in the area at the time was approached by the victims and located a suspect in the area and an arrest was made. Both male victims received non life threatening injuries. Michael Kyle Gordon, 22 years of Richmond Hill is charged with Assault.
