On Wednesday October 7 2009 at 2:30 pm an 18 year old male was walking in the area of Highbury Avenue near Huron Street when he was approached by a group of six unknown males.
The six males taunted the victim to fight. When the victim refused he was punched in the head and body by the group of males. Two of the 16 year old males brandished belts and struck the victim in the body repeatedly.
After the assault on the victim the suspects fled the area. The victim received non life threatening injuries. Through further investigation by Police, four males were arrested on Thursday October 8 2009. A warrant application is sought for the arrest of two 16 year old males. The investigation is continuing.
A 16 year old male of London was arrested and is charged with assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon.
