Kick-off the 2009 holiday season with the official lighting of the lights in Victoria Park this Friday, November 27. Enjoy carolling starting at 6:15 p.m. followed by the countdown to the illumination of the park at 7 p.m.
Enjoy a view of the entire park in the City Hall cafeteria between 6 and 8 p.m.
Hot chocolate and cookies will be made available from 6:30 to 9 p.m. for people wishing to view the lights from the 12th floor observation deck with donations being accepted by United Way Volunteers.
In addition to more than 75,000 lights decorating trees in the park, there are a variety of festive displays. And don't forget Santa's Mailbox for all those good little boys and girls who need to get their wish list to the North Pole.
Lighting of the Lights in the park takes place November 27 thru January 1 from 5:30 to 11 p.m. daily. The Promenade deck at City Hall is open November 27 – December 30 between 7 and 11 p.m. (Closed December 7, 14, 24, 25, 26)
Victoria Park's festive decorations and outdoor skating rink are a longstanding tradition in London's celebration of the holiday season. Please note the skating rink is scheduled to open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. starting on December 4 (weather permitting).
