On Tuesday December 1 2009 at 6:01 am Police and Fire Department were called for a fire to an apartment on the 8th floor to 1132 Adelaide Street North.
The fire was extinguished and damage is extensive. (estimated $100,000)
Occupants of the apartment building were evacuated and are now able to return to their apartments except for the 8th floor that is being ventilated.
The fire appears to be an arson at this time and Police have a suspect in custody.
The investigation is still in the preliminary stages and more information will be provided when it is available. There are no reported injuries from the fire.
