John Davidson To Finish Olympic Torch Run in London for Son Jesse

Before Jesse Davidson's death last month Jesse learned that he had been chosen to carry the Olympic Torch to complete its journey in London in Victoria Park. His father John said that he was very excited to have this opportunity. John Davidson will put on the running shoes again and make one more trip for Jesse on Thursday December 24th, 2009 in Victoria Park.

Mr. Davidson said that "Jesse would have loved an event like this. He would have been proud to have been a part of this once-in-a life opportunity that provides linkage between all Canadians." Mayor DeCicco-Best said that the vote for the last runner on London's Torch Committee was unanimous

The Torch Run and All the Fun that Comes with the Parade of Vehicles behind the runners is scheduled to start at approximately 2 pm when the procession exits the 401 at Wellingtion. It will head North on Wellington and Torch Runners will change every 300 metres or wherever you see an orange sign.

The Run will make its way to Victoria Park where the Cauldron of fire will belit by John Davidson and tons of free activities will begin all over Victoria Park. This is a truly community and family affair. Come on out. Olympics come to a country a few times in a lifetime. BE A PART OF IT ALL .
