Investigation into Violent Sexual Attack on January 9th at York & Rectory Continues | Print |  E-mail

The London Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section conducted an investigation into a violent attack on a 21 year old female that occurred on Saturday, January 9, 2010 in the area of York Street and Rectory Street.   



The male responsible for this violent attack was arrested on Thursday January 14 at 10:26 pm at an east London residence.  

A DNA examination by the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto assisted in this investigation.  The investigation is continuing today with the execution of search warrants at two London residences. The London Police Service would like to thank the public  and community partners for their assistance in this case. The arrest of a dangerous offender in our community was possible by the diligence of investigators and the support of our community.  Roland James Hill, 47 years old of London is charged with aggravated sexual assault, choking, forcible confinement, uttering threats and robbery. Roland James Hill will be appearing in court on Friday January 15, 2010.
