London Police are investigating the first traffic fatality of 2010.  On Thursday January 14th at approximately 6:40pm a 68 yr old female pedestrian was walking northbound on Elizabeth Street at Lorne Avenue.

The pedestrian had just stepped off the curb, in the crosswalk area when she was struck by an eastbound vehicle driven by a 28yr old male.  This location is governed by a “four way” stop sign system.  Police continue to investigate.Sgt Tom O’Brien
