Okay, there were only 14 votes. The results were were Orser 8, Thompson 6. The poll software doesn't prevent anyone from voting twice so the poll is totally unscientific. However, it's hoped by continuing to run political polls and polls and on other topics the feature will gain a following.
Then by the fall, I can run the same polls again in Wards 3, 4 for Mayor or wherever and they will have some meaning.
In the meantime Steven, get some new tires for the Big Red Orsermobile. And Greg, get ready to hit the sidewalks and knock on the doors. I have a feeling that this will be a really good race.
Is Steven throwing down the gauntlet to the other candidates? I saw one of his election signs in the window of an EOA business this afternoon and the only thing on it besides his name is "Full Time."
If that's the threshold that the rest are going to have to meet, how many do you think will be up to it?
If my memory serves me correctly, that's the slogan he used in 2006. Could he simply be recycling signs? I have no idea. As for being a full-time Councillor. I don't think he's upping the ante. Remember he's the incumbent, he's got a head start. It's the challengers who need to make a splash.
