Now I doubt there are thousands of readers out there clamoring to read the Ontario Government Web site. However I opened a can of worms with a comment regarding major changes to the Tax Credits the Province gives low and mid-income Ontarians for their Rent and Sales Tax. I thought I would give some links on the Ontario Government web site which deal with this issue.

CHANGES ARE COMING IN 2010. Make sure that you file a return for 2009 and call your MPP or Tax Preparer if you have questions. They should be able to help.
One of the big changes is that these subsidies or credits will be sent to those who are eligible several times throughout the year instead of just once at tax time. It is vital that Ontario residents who expect to receive this money, file tax returns every year. These credits are calculated on information in tax returns.
