On Saturday May 15th, 2010 at approximately 8:00pm an 18 year old female
was sexually assaulted by an unknown male.

The incident occurred on the bike path that runs between Highbury Ave and
Adelaide Street.

The victim saw the male sitting on a park bench near
Adelaide St and Kipps Lane.

As the victim biked on the path towards
Highbury the male followed her on a bike and attempted to have a
conversation with her.

The male then pulled the victim off the bike path
into the wooded area near the river where he sexually assaulted her.

The male suspect is described as a black male, 5'6" to 5'10", 16-18 years
of age, short black hair, skinny build wearing a red sweater with some
white on the sleeves, dark coloured baggy jeans, brown hiking boots and a
brown toque with a symbol on the front and a thick accent which the victim
believed to be African. The suspect was riding a turquoise bicycle.

Members of the London Police Service Sexual Assault Section are
investigating the incident.

The London Police Service is requesting the public's assistance. If anyone
has information pertaining to this matter they are requested to call the
LPS at 519 661 5670 or crime stoppers at 519 661 TIPS. A composite image of the suspect is attached above.
