FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Local Couple “Does it all Downtown”London, Ontario, September 17, 2010

Marika Krowokon and Scott Webb love Downtown London
so much that when they decided to wed – that the entire event would take place on Dundas Street – the heart of Downtown London.

When Scott proposed Marika knew precisely that she wanted the Central Library Reading Garden for the ceremony. Working with Colin Foster, owner of the Braywick fame and Wicked Catering at 244 Dundas Street the dream of a wedding entirely taking place on Dundas Street became a reality. In keeping with this theme the couple booked the Arts Project for their reception and with Colin’s help a number of Downtown businesses decided to jump on board and make the day truly memorable for them.

The organization of the event was not a simple as it first seemed since London Ontario Live Arts had booked the space at the reading garden for some of their exhibits but in keeping with the community spirit that is alive and well in Downtown – the organizers of LOLA rescheduled the exhibit to accommodate the nuptials.

This is truly a downtown London event since the bride works at Canada Life, her veil was purchased at Zena’s – the Yew Tree are donating the manicure and pedicure, hair and makeup will be done at Les Ciseaux. The couple are registered at Kingsmill’s; the wedding night will be at the Metro Hotel, Sunday brunch at the Delta. Nash Jewellers, Kingsmill’s, Jonathon’s and Covent Garden Market also provided some gift certificates to celebrate the couple’s commitment to each other and to Downtown London.
