Ontario Health Minister, The Honourable Deb Matthews announced on October 2nd that the 3 Year "Healthy Smiles" dental program for children and youth up to 18 years of age in low-income families will begin within weeks.

Families will be able to choose their own dentists. The program will be administered by the Middlexex-London Health-Unit

The London Free Press reported on October 2nd that the dental program will include the following services:

"The dental program includes routine check-ups, cleanings, fillings, x-rays and scalings."
