In a London Free Press article published on November 22nd, 2010,
the LTC revealed that its fares will rise next year.
"London Transit’s 8.1% request, Ducharme notes, relates only to the amount city hall funds, which is about 40% of the system’s overall budget. The rest of its funding comes from provincial gas tax allocations and passenger fares, which are set to go up by an undetermined amount next year, Ducharme said."
