Is This What We Dream of All Winter?

"If we can't have cooler weather and the heat and humidity continues............make sure you check in on your loved ones and neighbours who have no way to cool off and can't get out. We're all in this together."

Little Timmies on the Prairie - Is that grass or golden wheat?

Is this Little Timmies on the Prairie with Golden Wheat up and down the street? Nope!

Just a lot of dormant grass (we hope) but remember, trees don't go dormant. They must be

watered.  Do your part for the trees where you live.

Most of the year, and especially in the bleak winter months, we dream of hot weather, beaches, swimming, bbq's and good times in the summer. We endure a lot of cold, windy weather in the fall and spring and downright miserable frosty weather for two or three months of warm summer, sunny delight.

But nobody asked for this! 40 degrees, Humidity so high you can't breathe and Heat that puts the elderly, sick and young in danger. Let's not forgot those who have no fans or no air conditioning in their homes and are unable to go to a cooling center or mall.

So let's put our collective prayers, hopes, wishes and whatever else that might work together and pray that the rest of the summer is just a wee bit less humid, has more comfortable temperatures and is kinder to trees, grass and the crops that our farmers grow and we depend on all year round.

If we can't have cooler weather and the heat and humidity continues............make sure you check in on your loved ones and neighbours who have no way to cool off and can't get out. We're all in this together.
