The London Hispanic Scholarship Awards (LHSA) just announced that it will provide $2,000 in new scholarships for college-bound Hispanic students during the 2011-2012 academic year, based on a gift from Accident Resolution Group (ARG), Patey Law Group (PLG), RONA, and La Jornada.
LHSA works to address the barriers that keep many Hispanics from earning a college degree, and the scholarships funded marks the latest step in a relationship that began in 2009.
“So many of the students we fund are the first in their families to go to college, and this scholarship support will go a long way to helping them clear the financial hurdles they face on their way to a college degree,” said LHSA Founder, George Perez. “We are very grateful for ARG, PLG, RONA, and La Jornada’s investment in these students, and their continued support for our efforts.”
The LHSA provides a cultural and educational environment to enhance and improve academic success of the Hispanic Community while promoting a better understanding of the arts, history, literature and the perpetuation of Hispanic culture.
LHSA assists in opening opportunities for advancement of the quality of life among Hispanics. “We’re proud to continue our partnership with LHSA and to have the opportunity to assist talented Hispanic students as they seek to fulfill their dreams,” said Paula Stamp, President of ARG.
