After a two week trial and brief deliberations by the jury, Jodie Hoogstra was found not guilty of the February 2009 stabbing murder of Matthew Owen following fights that that broke out in and outside Hoogstra's Arbour Glen townhouse just off Kipps Lane.
The London Free Press Jane Sims stated in her trial coveraged on October 24th that:
"While the trial focused on Owen's death, it gave a rare glimpse into the activities of street gangs in the north London neighbourhood."
