More charges have been laid by the London Police Service’s Project Disarm.
As a result of an on-going investigation, members of Project Disarm, as well as uniformed officers, conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Oxford Street at McNay Street at approximately 9:45pm, on Friday, June 20, 2008, after the vehicle was seen leaving an address on Hansuld Street.
Two male occupants were arrested for possession of drugs and the vehicle was searched.
As a result of the search, a bag containing 3 pounds of marijuana was seized, along with an amount of Oxycontin, Ritalin, and Dilaudid pills, opium and an amount of cash.
On Saturday, June 21, 2008, at approximately 4:25am, members of Project Disarm, along with members of the Emergency Response Unit, conducted a search warrant at 1651 Hansuld Street, and two occupants were arrested inside.
A search of the residence yielded 300 marijuana plants in various stages of growth, as well as approximately 24 pounds of processed marijuana, 10 pounds of marijuana shake, 135 grams of hash, 93 grams of powder cocaine, various drug making material, a small amount of ammunition, and cash.
The total street value of the seized drugs from both the vehicle and the residence is approximately $384,500 and seized cash equals approximately $6,000.
27 year old Fadi Jaradat of London, and 43 year old Mohammed Nissiri of no fixed address have been jointly charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of Oxycontin for the purpose of trafficking, possession of Dilaudid for the purpose of trafficking,
possession of Ritalin for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of opium for the purpose of trafficking. 21 year old, Eric Lama, and 23 year old Erin Stanley, both of London, have been jointly charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
