One of my favourite places to stroll when I go downtown is the corridor just outside the Central Library where various groups set up booths and information tables. Today I was finishing up some business downtown and I met Mr. Carl Jadischke of Beck Hearing Aide Centres Inc.
He was hosting a table full of information on hearing, hearing aids and the services that Beck Hearing Aid Centres offer. Beck was offering Free Hearing Consultations and visitors were encouraged to sign up if they felt they needed a test.
There was a short test of five questions the public could answer that determined if they could benefit from a free consultation. Give them a try.
1. Do you hear words but not understand what is said?
2. Do people seem to mumble?
3. Do others complain you play the TV or radio too loudly?
4. Do you find it difficult to hear in noisy environments?
5. Do your family members complain that you are not hearing them?
If you answered YES to any of these question, you were encouraged to book a FREE hearing test at the BECK Hearing Centre.
I discussed hearing loss or impairment at all ages with Jadischke. He explained that this FREE service has been offered to many persons who otherwise could not afford the fee charged in many other offices.
