GOLS coaches, leaders, MPP Ramal at cheque presentation
On August 28th, MPP Khalil Ramal, London Fanshawe, was pleased to present The GOLS SOCCER CLUB with a cheque for $10,598. GOLS Soccer Club is a not-for-profit soccer club founded in 2006.
CIAF provides funding to not-for-profit organizations at the local and provincial levels to improve opportunities for community sport and physical activity.
GOLS Soccer Club provides soccer programs to newly immigrated children and youth. The soccer programs are year round. Indoor facilities at the North London Optimist Community Centre provide excellent facilities during the winter months.
This funding will allow the GOLS Soccer Club to fund facility rental, coaches and portable equipment.
“This funding will provide many people in this community with a chance to be more active,” said Ramal. “The additional programs that will be created or enhanced through these grants will help to ensure that residents in London are getting stronger and healthier.”
