Early Years Centre at Northbrae Not Quite Ready For Opening
The Early Years Centre which will include a Day Care with spaces for 55 children is still under construction the opening of the Centre is anticipated sometime this fall according to a City staff member in Neighbourhood and Children's Services at City Hall.
It appeared the addition to Northbrae Public School was near completion at the end of the summer however the City staffer indicated that a great deal of interior work needed to be completed. In addition to the Day Care the Early Years Centre will serve as a Neighbourhood Hub for Children, Teens and Parents in the Kipps Lane area. When Northbrae P.S. does not need the gym or other facilities after hours, these facilities will be made available to the "Hub" to run many other recreational and family centred activities in the area.
