Look Left and Right when you Turn | Print |  E-mail

London Police want to warn motorists that it is not enough to come to a full stop and then make a turn or proceed without first making sure that the way is safe!  Drivers, particularly when making right turns at stop signs or red lights seem to only look to the left for oncoming traffic and fail to look to the right before moving.

Likewise, motorists making left turns concentrate on oncoming traffic and forget to look to the left to see if any pedestrians are using the crosswalk.

During the month of November, officers will be closely monitoring motorists who don’t come to a full stop at red lights and stop signs and will also ticket motorists who fail to yield to pedestrians at these locations. Drivers make that full stop, look for traffic BUT don’t forget to look to the left and right for pedestrians!
