Gun and Drugs involved in Arrests on Dundas and Second | Print |  E-mail

On Wednesday November 12 2008 at 10:22 pm London Police Guns and Drugs Section along with assistance of Uniform Patrol officers conducted a motor vehicle stop at Dundas Street at Second Street in relation to a drug and gun investigation. The driver and the passenger of the motor vehicle were arrested. Police searched the vehicle and located a loaded 45 calibre semi automatic handgun, a set of digital scales, 3.2 grams of powder cocaine and 12.0 grams of crack cocaine. ($1520.00)   

 

Adnan Omar, 21 years of Waterloo and Fernando Orozco-Barrera 24 years of London are both charged with two counts of careless storage ( firearm and ammo), contravene Firearms Act in respect to transportation of firearms, possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence, unlicenced to possess restricted weapon, possess firearm no authority, possess restricted weapon no authority, occupy motor vehicle with firearm, possession of a loaded firearm and two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.  Fernando Orozco-Barrera is additionally charged with two counts of breaching a weapons prohibition order.  

On Wednesday November 12 2008 at 11:40 pm Police were called to an address on Conway Drive in relation to a resident having trouble with a male. The male had assaulted the resident.  Upon Police arrival a vehicle was in the process of exiting the laneway. Police conducted a high risk vehicle stop and arrested a male and a female. Police searched the male and located a switchblade, $562.41 in Canadian currency, a digital scale and a small quantity of crack cocaine and oxycodone.

 

When the vehicle was searched Police located in the back seat a loaded .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun and a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun in a suitcase. After further investigation it was revealed that the 9mm semi-automatic handgun was reported stolen from a break-in to a pawn shop in Port Huron, Michigan in August of 2004.   Christopher Roy, 23 years of London and Kaylie Marie MacDonald 19 years of London are charged two counts of Careless Use of a Firearm, one count of Contravention of S.117 of the Firearms Act, two counts of Unlicensed Person Possessing a Restricted Weapon, two counts of Possessing a Firearm Knowing No Authority, one count of Occupying a Motor Vehicle with a Firearm, two counts of Possessing a Loaded Regulated Firearm, and one count of Possessing a Firearm Obtained by Crime.  Christopher Roy is additionally charged with Assault, Possession of crack cocaine for the purpose of Trafficking, Possession of oxycodone and one count of carrying a concealed weapon.
