What was your favourite/last movie that you saw at the Capitol Theatre? Send in your thoughts in the comment box

For me, it was O Brother Where Art Thou, a Coen Brothers Film starring George Clooney in December 2000. Image

It featured one of the finest soundtracks of Bluegrass music ever assembled.

The first Harry Potter movie, with my kids just before the theatre closed "for renovations".

David: I don't remember many specific movies. All I remember is those wonderful mirrors in the hallway and how it felt so refreshing to walk back out on to Dundas after seeing a film. Good times.

All the old movie theatres, including those of my youth in Windsor, only had one, two or max. 3 screens and it was only a short walk from the theatre to the daylight of whatever street you exited onto. That was part of the magic. No screaming video games, in the hallway just a lavish decor leading you back to the real world. Those were the days. I enjoyed the few shows I got to see at the Capitol.
